EIA Foundation

The EIA Foundation

The EIA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit dedicated to advancing education and community service in the environmental health and safety field. Built on the success of the EIA Scholarship Fund established in 2012, the Foundation supports EIA Members and their immediate families, provides conference travel opportunities for government regulators, and funds community service initiatives such as EIA Cares, a COVID-19 supply relief program for nonprofit health facilities.

As industry support for these efforts has grown, the EIA Foundation has expanded its role in strengthening education, professional development, and public health within the environmental health and safety community. All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible and directly support these mission-driven programs.

EIA’s mission is to collect, generate and disseminate accurate, science-based information concerning environmental health and safety hazards in the built environment to property owners and operators, interested professionals, and the public. Through the EIA Foundation, this mission extends beyond information-sharing to meaningful investment in people and communities.

Members and industry partners who value education, service, and long-term impact are encouraged to support the EIA Foundation and help expand these programs for future generations.

"As a recipient of the Environmental Information Association Foundation Scholarship last year, I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude.  For the last one year, the scholarship has played a pivotal role in my academic, research, and professional journey. It has provided not just financial support, but also the encouragement to pursue meaningful work that contributes to environmental sustainability. Coming from an underdeveloped community, this support has been life-changing—it has helped me bridge gaps that would have otherwise limited my ability to contribute to the field." - Etinosa Igunbor, 2024
