The EIA Foundation is now accepting applications!!

We are very excited to make three scholarship awards this year, including one student award for $1000, one student award for $1,500, and one regulator award for $1,000.

The EIA Scholarship Program makes financial awards to offset some of the cost of higher education that is considered to be in the best interest of the Environmental Information Association and the professions we support, while also directly benefitting the awardee. In addition, the program provides travel support for city/county, state, or federal regulatory employees, who are members of EIA, to attend the EIA 2024 National Conference.

Education scholarship applicants must be an EIA member in good standing, an immediate family member of an EIA individual member in good standing, or an employee of an EIA Organizational/Executive member firm in good standing.  Immediate family members are defined as spouses, parents, children, siblings, and in-laws or “step-relatives” of the same degree. Regulator travel scholarship applicants must be EIA members in good standing.

The education scholarship applicant must be enrolled in a post-high school degree program related to the environmental or construction industry. This includes technical schools, associate degree programs, and graduate school as well as traditional four-year degrees.  If currently enrolled in an approved program of study, the applicant’s grade point average over the previous two semesters must be at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).

Applications shall be submitted on the form provided and must be received no later than 5PM EST on Saturday, February 10, 2024.  The regulatory employee awardees will be announced on February 15, 2024.  Educational awardees will be announced on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the EIA Social Event.
