ACAC Certifications

EIA is pleased to recommend four certification programs in the environmental industry. The American Council for Accredited Certification has teamed with The Environmental Information Association (EIA) to develop two new certification programs under the ACAC umbrella of existing certifications.

If you’re considering certification this is the only program you should consider! If you’re not considering certification, maybe you should?

Council-certified Indoor Environmental Supervisor (CIES)

Required: 8 years experience remediating environmental issues including asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, chemicals and microbial contamination.

Council-certified Indoor Environmental Remediator (CIER)

Required: 2 years experience remediating indoor environmental issues including asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, chemicals or microbial contamination.

Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC)

Required: 8 years experience consulting on indoor environmental issues including asbestos, lead, HVAC, building science, chemicals and microbial contamination.

Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE)

Required: 2 years experience investigating indoor environmental issues including asbestos, lead, HVAC, building science, chemicals or microbial contamination.
